I don't know if Dick will see this but I have a personal favorite work he was in, being, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". I know Dicks career is long and distinguished, but the "Music Box" scene between he and Sally Ann Howes is pure screen magic. I remember this fondly seeing it with my mother and father, and recently re-purchased the film, which only re-affirmed my love for it.

Like so many of Dick's projects, it would not have been the same without him.

Dick is an inspiration to us all...

All of his movies and Christmas shows bring many a warm Memories flooding back to when times were way more simpler and Giving was a wonderful thing not reguired...

Dick you have made many a folks laugh over the years and may we laugh with you for many more...

When people ask me whose my role model in life... I say " My role model is Dick van Dyke"... People then give me weird looks as in a way to say Why?

Why?

Because he makes me laugh when i'm "down" and from his work on Diagnosis Murder he looks like a great "Family" Guy. Since of course Dick VanDykes Fans would know his son (Barry Van Dyke) played Steve Sloan, and his grandsons had different appearances throughout the show (Shane Van Dyke = Alex).

Anyhow I'm a great fan since i have his "authentic" autograph (it took a year), and i'm trying to get as much updates as possible since he is "Retired" from show business. But he is returning to TV on Murder 101 on January 7th on the HallMark Channel (unfortunately i don't have that channel).

anyhow if there are any other Dick Van Dyke fans who would love to chat through instant messages you can aim me at TicTackGirl... Anyhow i got to go its 11:30pm
